Generic training doesn't change how your team works

Off-the-shelf courses teach theory that rarely matches your systems, your policies or your industry. The result is training that costs time and money but never quite makes it back to the workplace.

Content that doesn't fit

Generic examples and case studies leave staff working out how it applies to their role, so most of it is forgotten.

Too much time off the job

Rigid timetables pull people away from operations and ignore the skills and experience they already have.

No lasting capability

When the course ends, so does the momentum. Nothing is in place to keep building skills across your workforce.

Our corporate training is different. Every program starts with your organisation, not a textbook, and is built to create capability that lasts.

Three ways to build your organisation's capability

Every organisation is different, so we don't offer a one-size-fits-all program. Choose a full Qualification, a training solution built around your specific needs, or professional development with the option of national recognition.

Option 1

Qualifications and skill sets

Develop your people with full nationally recognised Qualifications or targeted skill sets, contextualised to your workplace.

  • Certificate IV and Diploma Qualifications
  • Skill sets for specific roles and responsibilities
  • Recognition of Prior Learning for experienced staff
Option 2

Customised training from units of competency

Need to solve a specific problem or skill gap? We design a customised program by drawing on the individual units of competency that address your exact needs.

  • Built around your priorities, not a fixed course outline
  • Units selected to target the skills your team needs most
  • Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for completed units
Option 3

Professional development training, with a choice

Practical professional development workshops for your team, with flexibility in how each participant completes them.

  • Attend the workshops and receive a Certificate of Attendance
  • Or complete the assessments and achieve the nationally recognised units of competency
  • Ideal for mixed teams with different development goals

We work in partnership with you. From the first conversation to the final assessment, we work closely with your organisation to make sure the training meets your needs, supports your people and builds capability that lasts.

How we contextualise training to your organisation

Contextualised training means the learning and assessment reflect your workplace. Your people still achieve the same nationally recognised Qualification, but every activity, example and assessment task is relevant to the work they actually do.

1

Understand your goals

We start with a training needs conversation to understand your organisation, your workforce and the capability gaps you want to close.

2

Contextualise the resources

We adapt learning and assessment resources to reflect your policies, procedures, systems, terminology and real workplace scenarios, while meeting all training package requirements.

3

Deliver your way

Choose onsite training at your workplace, group workshops, distance learning with one-on-one mentoring, or a blend that keeps time away from the job to a minimum.

4

Recognise and build

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) acknowledges the skills your people already have, so training targets genuine gaps and delivers results sooner.

What this means for you: training your staff can relate to, assessment that uses real workplace evidence, and skills that transfer straight back to the job.

Learning programs designed to build capability, not just tick boxes

We design learning programs around the outcomes your organisation needs. The result is workplace training your people can apply from day one, and a stronger, more capable workforce over time.

  • Aligned to your business goals. Programs are mapped to the roles and skills that matter most to your organisation.
  • Real work, real evidence. Assessment draws on workplace tasks, so learning transfers directly to the job.
  • Nationally recognised outcomes. Qualifications and skill sets that are credible, portable and recognised across Australia.
  • Capability that stays in-house. Develop your own trainers, assessors and leaders who keep lifting performance long after the program ends.
  • One-on-one mentoring. Every learner has direct access to an experienced trainer and assessor who is also a subject matter expert.

Corporate training FAQs

What is contextualised training?

Contextualised training adapts learning and assessment resources to suit a specific organisation or industry. The nationally recognised outcome stays the same, but examples, case studies and assessment tasks reflect your policies, procedures and workplace, so learning is more relevant and easier to apply on the job.

Is your corporate training nationally recognised?

Yes. Healthy Business Training Academy is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 30831). Learners who successfully complete a Qualification or skill set receive a nationally recognised Qualification or Statement of Attainment.

Can you deliver training onsite at our workplace?

Yes. We offer onsite corporate training and group workshops, as well as distance learning with one-on-one mentoring. Many organisations combine these options to suit their rosters, locations and operational needs.

Can our experienced staff get Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?

Yes. RPL recognises the skills and experience your staff already have. We work through the evidence with each person, so training focuses on genuine gaps and your team can complete sooner, with less time away from work.

Which Qualifications can you deliver for our team?

We deliver training and assessment (TAE), Leadership and management, Project Management, Quality Auditing, compliance and work health and safety Qualifications and skill sets. We can also build a customised program from individual units of competency, or deliver professional development training. See the full list on this page.

Can you help us build our own internal training team?

Yes. The TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, the TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and our TAE skill sets develop qualified workplace trainers and assessors, so you can build training capability in-house.

Can you customise training to our organisation's specific needs?

Yes. As well as full Qualifications and skill sets, we can design a customised program by drawing on the individual units of competency that address your specific needs. Participants who successfully complete the units receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.

What is the difference between a Certificate of Attendance and units of competency?

With our professional development training, participants can choose how they complete it. Those who attend the workshops receive a Certificate of Attendance. Those who also complete the assessments achieve the nationally recognised units of competency, which can count towards a Qualification.
