The Training – WorkSafe WA Approved – WHS for Safety Reps
This course is designed by WorkSafe WA for Safety & Health Representatives (SHR’s or HSR’s). A health and safety representative (HSR) is elected by their work group under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WHS Act) to represent workers in work health and safety (WHS) matters. It is a requirement of the Legislation for safety reps to be trained soon after appointment, with fees paid by the Employer.
HSR’s play a crucial role in maintaining and improving safety and health in their workplace. This course provides Safety and Health Representatives with core understanding of the role, plus the knowledge and skills required to represent their fellow employees and ensure their workplace is adhering to WHS Legislative health and safety requirements.
This course can be facilitated anywhere in Western Australia for groups or can be attended individually at our facility in Welshpool.
